Loury Lag

Loury Lagardère is not simply a lover of nature and the great outdoors. He is a man of adventure, constantly in search of freedom and the ability to surpass himself. With a life full of hardship and difficulties from an early age, this explorer from Biarritz has made it his strength and found peace through his adventures and encounters. He has multiplied his expeditions to the 4 corners of the planet, with ever greater madness and grandeur. Loury is an adventurer with a strong desire to share his travels and pass on the emotion he has sought in each of his journeys.

On 27 November, he brought together more than 2,450 people at the Grand REX in Paris to screen his documentary RESILIENCE. The film tells the story of the Loury expedition he shared with Martin Petit, a young man who was quadriplegic following a tragic accident.
It was in the largest cinema in the world that the public was able to discover the adventure shared by these two men, where everything opposed them, and yet they recognised each other.

• Artic Mission 77 days 3,000 kilometres, crossing the Northwest Passage solo. Loury completed the Artic expedition, progressing by ski-kite and cross-country skis, sometimes without sleeping on the pack ice, surrounded by bears and wolves.

• Resilience for 3 years Loury guided Martin Petit, a former sportsman turned quadriplegic, on 3 extreme expeditions.

• Uapapunan, accompanied by Mathieu Blanchard and Loury Lag, completed a 250-kilometre tour of the eye of Quebec. A real human and sporting adventure.

• Transatlantic, Loury made several crossings of the Atlantic by boat.
